Inline Help

Help inside a line of text: unlike a tooltip you can enter it with the mouse and with Tab — there is a link to the documentation in there.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the word through term, the heading through title and the explanation through text
  • the link caption through linkLabel and the target through href
  • the copy around the term through textBefore and textAfter, the accessible name through triggerHint with {term}

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Inline Help with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Inline Help depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Inline Help?
Adapt: the word through term, the heading through title and the explanation through text; the link caption through linkLabel and the target through href; the copy around the term through textBefore and textAfter, the accessible name through triggerHint with {term}. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-popover-006-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; light-dark() in the palette: the component has to follow the surrounding color-scheme rather than ship a dark theme of its own; the transparent background by default — the component sits on the page background instead of laying a panel under itself.
Is Inline Help free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/popover-006.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-popover-006-*. Server-side: the card runs on the HTML popover, useId separates the identifier. The layout is declared only inside :popover-open. The card is an inline element carrying the popover attribute, so it remains valid paragraph content; the heading and the text inside are inline as well, with display:block. Positioning goes through anchor positioning with a fallback under @supports not. The trigger is a button styled to look like a word in the text.
