Alert
Message Alert
A notification about a message from a person: initials tinted from the name, up to three lines of text and a reply. It shows the start of a conversation, not the conversation.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- name and role — the author; the colour comes from the name too
- message — the text; the overflow clamps itself
- time — a string formatted by the caller
A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ
- How do I add Message Alert with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Message Alert depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Message Alert?
- Adapt: name and role — the author; the colour comes from the name too; message — the text; the overflow clamps itself; time — a string formatted by the caller. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-alert-007-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-muted, text-primary and the like); light-dark() in the palette: the component has to follow the surrounding color-scheme rather than ship a dark theme of its own; the transparent background by default — the component sits on the page background instead of laying a panel under itself.
- Is Message Alert free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/alert-007.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-alert-007-*. The avatar hue is computed from the name by a deterministic function and substituted into --vibeui-alert-007-hue: the same technique as in avatar-001, so one person is always one colour. The message text is clamped to three lines through -webkit-line-clamp. The time is pushed right through margin-left:auto and wraps in a narrow column.
