Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-banner-012-* variables. The remainder is split into groups: days appear only when there are any, and seconds hide while a day is left — a running digit at that range only distracts. The digits are monospaced with tabular figures, so the line does not jump every second. The countdown is aria-hidden: announcing it out loud every second would turn the strip into continuous speech, and the point of the promo is already in the region label. When the time is up the strip does not vanish silently but says so: a discount that disappears looks like a site error. The text on the accent fill is derived from the accent lightness with a relative colour. The theme comes from color-scheme through light-dark(), and the component switches on a class-based dark theme by itself.
