FAQ
- How do I add Impersonation Mode with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Impersonation Mode depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Impersonation Mode?
- Adapt: the person name and the operator role; the template wording and the note; the exitLabel caption and the exitHref address. Keep as installed: the strip without a dismiss: a forgotten mode sends actions into someone else's log, and a dismissed strip stops reminding about it; the owner's name in its own weight and colour — it answers “whose name am I about to click under”; the hatching: without it the strip reads as an ordinary announcement and stops being noticed.
- Is Impersonation Mode free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-banner-010-* variables. The strip cannot be dismissed: leaving the mode and hiding the message about it are different things, and a forgotten mode sends actions into someone else log. The diagonal hatching separates it from an ordinary announcement, which the eye stops noticing within a minute. The name of the person being acted for is set apart by colour and weight — it answers the question whose name the next click goes under. The strip is always dark, so the project accent is raised in lightness with a relative colour instead of being fixed in a token. The layout is computed from the strip own width. The theme comes from color-scheme through light-dark(), and the component switches on a class-based dark theme by itself.
