An offline bar that watches the connection itself through browser events. There is no "back online" message: the bar disappearing says it.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-alert-018-* palette — the bar is deliberately dark and does not follow the page theme; useSyncExternalStore instead of useState with an effect: it is the sanctioned way to read an external source without extra renders; the server snapshot of "online": otherwise the markup diverges at hydration.
Is Offline Alert free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-alert-018-*. The state is read through useSyncExternalStore with a subscription to the online and offline events: this is the sanctioned way to read an external source, it causes no extra renders and behaves correctly under server rendering, where the snapshot is always "online". While the connection is up the component returns null. The force prop shows the bar unconditionally — for the showcase and for debugging.
