Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own --vibeui-combobox-004-* palette. Client component: useState holds the query, the selected name and the cursor, and useMemo filters the people over the concatenation of the name and the second line. The avatar hue is computed from the name with an FNV-1a hash and arrives in an inline style as a single --vibeui-combobox-004-hue variable, from which oklch assembles the background and the text colour — that keeps the palette manageable instead of turning it into a set of hard-coded colours. The row is laid out with flex: a fixed-width avatar, two-storey text with overflow:hidden, and the check mark of the selected row pushed over by margin-left:auto. The ARIA roles are complete: role="combobox" with aria-controls and aria-activedescendant on the field, role="listbox" and role="option" with aria-selected on the list.
