Column Navmenu

Site navigation with a drop-down panel of columns: every link carries a line of explanation, so a section says what is inside it.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the entries array: sections, their columns, links and hints
  • the panel width and the minimum column width
  • the accent through the accent prop — it colours the focus rings

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Column Navmenu with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Column Navmenu depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Column Navmenu?
Adapt: the entries array: sections, their columns, links and hints; the panel width and the minimum column width; the accent through the accent prop — it colours the focus rings. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-navmenu-001-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-popover, text-muted-foreground and the like); the hint under every link: a section name in a mega menu almost never explains what is inside; anchoring to the whole bar rather than one button: a wide panel tied to a button slides off the window edge.
Is Column Navmenu free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/navmenu-001.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-navmenu-001-*. Server-side: no hooks, the panel is opened by popover="auto". The whole navigation bar serves as the anchor (anchor-name on [data-part="bar"]), so a wide panel sits under the bar as a whole rather than under a single button. The columns are laid out by a grid with auto-fit and minmax, so their number adjusts to the panel width. Sections without a panel are plain links.
