Prev Next Counter

The most modest pagination: two links and a counter between them. The numbers are deliberately gone — a feed read in order does not need them.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • page and total — the current page and the count
  • hrefOf — how to build a page address for your router
  • label — the word before the number

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Prev Next Counter with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Prev Next Counter depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Prev Next Counter?
Adapt: page and total — the current page and the count; hrefOf — how to build a page address for your router; label — the word before the number. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-pagination-004-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-secondary, border-input and the like); links rather than buttons: opening in a new tab, copying the address and going back through history all come free; rel="prev" and rel="next" on the edges: they tell the browser and the crawler how the pages are ordered.
Is Prev Next Counter free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/pagination-004.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-pagination-004-* variables. Server rendered: no hooks, the bounds are computed from the page and total props. The address of the neighbouring page is assembled by the hrefOf function, `?page=N` by default. The edge of the list is marked with aria-disabled and dims rather than disappears, so the row does not jump. The counter takes all the free space and is set in tabular figures, while the arrows are drawn with borders and rotate according to data-dir.
