Preview Navmenu
A menu with a preview on the right: hovering or focusing a row shows its own picture, all of it on :has(), with no state and no JS.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the entries array: links, hints and preview captions
- triggerLabel — the caption of the button that opens the panel
- the accent through the accent prop — it colours the focus rings

FAQ
- How do I add Preview Navmenu with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Preview Navmenu depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Preview Navmenu?
- Adapt: the entries array: links, hints and preview captions; triggerLabel — the caption of the button that opens the panel; the accent through the accent prop — it colours the focus rings. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-navmenu-005-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-card, border-border and the like); :focus-visible alongside :hover in the :has() rules: otherwise the preview is out of reach when tabbing through the menu; the double :not(:has(...)) rule that shows the first preview: without it the panel opens empty.
- Is Preview Navmenu free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/navmenu-005.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-navmenu-005-*. Server-side: no hooks. The previews lie stacked in a shared area, and the one shown is whichever row is under the cursor or focused — through :has() rules on data-index. When nothing is selected the first one is shown: a separate rule with a double :not(:has(...)) is responsible for that. The pictures are drawn as gradients from the hue of the label, so the menu pulls in no image files.
