Vertical Stat Rules

A row of stats with vertical rules: the line takes its height from the neighbours instead of setting it, so the row never grows because of the rule.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the spacing between blocks through gap in pixels
  • the rule height through dividerHeight: text or full
  • the stat set through items

FAQ

How do I add Vertical Stat Rules with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Vertical Stat Rules depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Vertical Stat Rules?
Adapt: the spacing between blocks through gap in pixels; the rule height through dividerHeight: text or full; the stat set through items. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-separator-003-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; align-items:stretch on the row: without it the rule collapses to zero height; the absence of a fixed height on the rule — set by hand it drifts away from the neighbours.
Is Vertical Stat Rules free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

A server component, no hooks. The row is aligned with align-items:stretch, which makes the one-pixel rule stretch to the height of the tallest block by itself — setting its height by hand is unnecessary and harmful. The text mode limits the line to the height of the value line: this is what headers do, where a full-height line looks like a table border. Every rule is marked with role=separator and aria-orientation=vertical, so the boundary between the numbers is audible. The spacing is exposed as the gap prop and substituted through a variable in pixels. There is no background by default: the palette is declared through light-dark(), so the row follows the surrounding theme, and only a set background prop lays a panel under it.
