Checkbox & toggles
Checkbox Row
A checkbox whose target is the whole row — label and description included — not a 16px square in the corner. The tick is drawn in CSS; a native input holds the state.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the label and description copy; omit description and the row becomes single-line
- the accent through the accent prop — it colours the filled square and the focus ring
- any native input props: name, checked, defaultChecked, onChange, required, disabled, value
A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ
- How do I add Checkbox Row with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Checkbox Row depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Checkbox Row?
- Adapt: the label and description copy; omit description and the row becomes single-line; the accent through the accent prop — it colours the filled square and the focus ring; any native input props: name, checked, defaultChecked, onChange, required, disabled, value. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-checkbox-001-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-primary, border-input, text-muted-foreground and the like); the <label> root: it is what makes the entire row clickable, description included; the native input[type=checkbox] with appearance:none — state, the space key and form submission all rest on it.
- Is Checkbox Row free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/checkbox-001.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-checkbox-001-* variables. The root is a <label>, so the whole row is clickable, description included. Inside sits a native input[type=checkbox] with appearance:none: state, the keyboard and participation in a form all stay native. The tick is two edges of a square rotated 45°, and it grows from nothing when checked; no icon library is needed. Negative margins offset the inner padding of the row so that the component is not shifted relative to its neighbours.
