Checkbox & toggles

Notification Channel Matrix

A notification table: rows are events, columns are delivery channels, and the switch in a column header turns the channel on for every event at once.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • rows and columns — any set of events and delivery channels, not only notifications
  • title and rowsLabel — the block heading and the corner-cell caption
  • the initial defaultValue built from "rowId:colId" keys

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Notification Channel Matrix with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Notification Channel Matrix depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Notification Channel Matrix?
Adapt: rows and columns — any set of events and delivery channels, not only notifications; title and rowsLabel — the block heading and the corner-cell caption; the initial defaultValue built from "rowId:colId" keys. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-switch-015-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the semantic <table> with <th scope="row"> and <th scope="col">: the link between an event and a channel has to reach the screen reader from markup, not visual alignment; a native checkbox with role="switch" in every cell: keyboard and form support come for free.
Is Notification Channel Matrix free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-switch-015-* variables. A client component: "use client". The markup is a semantic <table>: <th scope="row"> names the event, and a <th scope="col"> with a switch names the channel and drives the whole column. Every cell is a native checkbox with role="switch". The column master's indeterminate is set through an effect on every value change, because React does not pass that DOM property through props. A cell key is "rowId:colId", so value serialises to a plain string array as is. On narrow screens the table gets its own horizontal scroll through a wrapper with overflow-x instead of widening the page. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark().
