Technical notes

A server component. The marks are drawn with borders and pseudo-elements: the cross is two rotated bars, the check mark is the corner of a square at 45°. The visible mark is chosen by the input:checked + [data-part=thumb] rule, and the state caption by the :has(input:checked) rule on the root, so the text and the thumb cannot drift apart. The hidden caption is switched off with display:none, which means it does not enter the accessible name either. The palette lives in --vibeui-switch-004-*.
