Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-checkbox-015-* variables. A client component: "use client". The error lives on the fieldset: it gets data-invalid, aria-invalid and aria-describedby with an identifier from useId. The message is declared role="alert" and consists of a "!" sign in a circle and two lines — what is wrong and what to do. The error state is recomputed on submission and is cleared as soon as the first tick is made. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): by default the component lays no panel under itself, sits directly on the page background and darkens along with it; the background prop brings the panel back.
