Data Grid

Detail Row

A grid where a row opens its details right underneath: a full-width panel, with the button-to-panel link declared through aria-controls.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the line under the toolbar through caption
  • the one-row-at-a-time mode through single
  • the shipments and term-value pairs through rows

Built from

The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

FAQ

How do I add Detail Row with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Detail Row depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: card-158.
What can I change in Detail Row?
Adapt: the line under the toolbar through caption; the one-row-at-a-time mode through single; the shipments and term-value pairs through rows. Keep as installed: the card-158 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the local --vibeui-datagrid-008-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the aria-expanded and aria-controls pair: without the panel id the button loses its link to the details.
Is Detail Row free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

A composite block: imports card-158 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. The component is self-contained: one file, no npm dependencies, the palette in --vibeui-datagrid-008-*. A client component: useState holds the list of expanded rows, and useId gives stable panel ids for aria-controls. The disclosure button carries aria-expanded and its own aria-label with the name of the shipment. The details lie in a separate row with a colSpan across the full width — a nested table would break cell navigation. The term-value pairs are collected in a dl, and the wrapper of a pair gets display:contents, otherwise the columns drift apart. The panel appears smoothly through @starting-style: where it is unsupported the panel simply appears at once. The single mode keeps one row open at a time. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): by default the grid lays no panel under itself, it sits on the page background, while the background prop switches on a panel of its own.
