Data Grid
Paste Rows
A grid that pastes several rows from the clipboard: the text is parsed by separators, broken lines are named with their number and reason, and only whole rows reach the table.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the line under the toolbar through caption
- the line format description through separatorHint and the starting field text through sample
- the field label through pasteLabel and the rejection reasons through problemText

FAQ
- How do I add Paste Rows with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Paste Rows depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Paste Rows?
- Adapt: the line under the toolbar through caption; the line format description through separatorHint and the starting field text through sample; the field label through pasteLabel and the rejection reasons through problemText. Keep as installed: the imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the local --vibeui-datagrid-023-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; showing broken lines with their number and reason: half a paste dropped in silence is the worst outcome.
- Is Paste Rows free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
A composite block: imports from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. The component is self-contained: one file, no npm dependencies, the palette in --vibeui-datagrid-023-*. A client component: useState holds the table, the pasted text and the list of just-added identifiers; useId ties the field to its label. The parser cuts the text on line breaks and the fields on a tab, a semicolon or two consecutive spaces: that way both a paste from a spreadsheet and text from an email survive. Broken lines are not dropped in silence but shown in the body of the table with their number and reason — otherwise half the paste disappears unnoticed. The added rows are marked with a fill until the next paste. The parse report is declared role=status. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): by default the grid lays no panel under itself, it sits directly on the page background and darkens along with it. The rows and sample props keep acting after mounting: what was added and typed is stored alongside them rather than instead of them.
