Data Grid
Reorder Rows
A grid that reorders rows: the grip drags with the mouse while the arrows, Home and End move a row from the keyboard and announce its new position.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the line under the toolbar through caption
- the wording of the announcement through liveTemplate with its {step}, {position} and {total} placeholders
- the panel heading through heading and the step counter through stepsTemplate with {count}
Built from
The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

FAQ
- How do I add Reorder Rows with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Reorder Rows depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: card-165.
- What can I change in Reorder Rows?
- Adapt: the line under the toolbar through caption; the wording of the announcement through liveTemplate with its {step}, {position} and {total} placeholders; the panel heading through heading and the step counter through stepsTemplate with {count}. Keep as installed: the card-165 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the local --vibeui-datagrid-015-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the keyboard path on the grip: mouse dragging alone cuts off part of your users.
- Is Reorder Rows free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
A composite block: imports card-165 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. The component is self-contained: one file, no npm dependencies, the palette in --vibeui-datagrid-015-*. A client component: useState holds the row order, the id of the row being dragged and the row under the cursor. The grip is a button with draggable: the up and down arrows move the row by one step, and Home and End send it to the beginning and to the end, so the order changes without a mouse. Every move is written into a region with role=status and aria-live: for a screen reader the row would otherwise simply disappear from its former place. The row under the cursor is marked both by a fill and by a stripe on top through an inset box-shadow — a fill alone matches the hover state. The position number is recomputed from the index rather than stored in the data. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): by default the grid lays no panel under itself, it sits directly on the page background and darkens along with it.
