FAQ
- How do I add Data Grid Filter Builder with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Data Grid Filter Builder depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Data Grid Filter Builder?
- Adapt: the line under the toolbar through caption; the initial joiner through joiner: and or or; the starting condition set through defaultRules. Keep as installed: the imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the local --vibeui-datagrid-019-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the builder inside a fieldset with a legend: a scatter of fields never reads as one filter group.
- Is Data Grid Filter Builder free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
A composite block: imports from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. The component is self-contained: one file, no npm dependencies, the palette in --vibeui-datagrid-019-*. A client component: useState holds the array of conditions and the joiner; changing the field resets the operator and the value, because numbers and text take different operator sets. The builder is collected in a fieldset with a legend — for a screen reader this is one group rather than a scatter of fields; the legend carries float:left with width:100%, so the condition rows get clear:both. The joiner is shown as a separate line between the conditions and is not built into them: otherwise "and" reads as part of the neighbouring condition. Every field has its own aria-label with the number of the condition, and the counter of matches is declared role=status. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): by default the grid lays no panel under itself, it sits directly on the page background and darkens along with it. The joiner and defaultRules props keep acting after mounting: the reader's edits are stored alongside them rather than instead of them.
