FAQ
- How do I add Shortcut Menu with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Shortcut Menu depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Shortcut Menu?
- Adapt: the button caption through trigger; the hint beside the button through keysLabel; the items, their icons and keys through items. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-dropdown-003-* palette: the component must not depend on the host theme; inline SVG instead of an icon package — otherwise the component loses its main property, self-sufficiency; the monospace face on the shortcuts: a proportional one destroys the key column.
- Is Shortcut Menu free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/dropdown-003.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
One file, zero dependencies, the --vibeui-dropdown-003-* palette. A client component because of the arrow-key navigation. The icons are drawn as inline SVG from a table of paths — an icon package would make the component dependent. An item is a grid of three columns (icon, label, shortcut), so the labels and the keys stand in even columns whatever the length of the text. The shortcuts are marked up with the kbd tag in a monospaced font. Opening and the layer come from the HTML popover, and the placement from anchor-name plus position-area inside @supports. The destructive item is separated by a rule and coloured in the text only.
