Dropdown menu

Label Filter

A board label filter menu: every item carries a colour dot and a card count, a click does not close the list, and an empty selection means "show everything".

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the button caption through trigger and the caption above it through caption
  • the labels array: name, hue and count per label
  • the mark and focus colour through accent

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Label Filter with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Label Filter depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Label Filter?
Adapt: the button caption through trigger and the caption above it through caption; the labels array: name, hue and count per label; the mark and focus colour through accent. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-dropdown-016-* palette: the component must look the same in any project; the menuitemcheckbox role with aria-checked — without it a screen reader announces the filter as a plain command; the fact that the menu does not close on click: labels are switched in batches, not one by one.
Is Label Filter free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/dropdown-016.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

One file, zero dependencies, the --vibeui-dropdown-016-* palette. A client component: useState holds the set of enabled labels, and aria-expanded is kept in sync with the toggle event. The items are marked up role=menuitemcheckbox with aria-checked, and the space for the mark is always reserved so the rows do not jump on toggle. The label colour is the --vibeui-dropdown-016-dot variable, set by an inline style on each item from the numeric hue in the data rather than by a class: the component does not know the label values in advance. Opening comes from the HTML popover with anchor positioning inside @supports and a fallback position:absolute on a position:relative root.
