Technical notes
One file, zero dependencies, the --vibeui-dropdown-015-* palette. A client component: useState holds the disclosure of the menu and the submenu for aria-expanded on both levels. The first level is an HTML popover with anchor positioning inside @supports and a fallback position:absolute on a position:relative root; the second level is an ordinary absolutely positioned layer inside the first, because a nested popover=auto would close the parent. The parent item is marked aria-haspopup=menu and aria-expanded, and the submenu is a role=menu with an aria-label. The right arrow opens the submenu and puts the focus on the first format, the left one closes it and returns the focus to the parent item. Every format carries a short file extension in a separate node rather than built into the name.
