FAQ
- How do I add Donut Chart with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Donut Chart depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Donut Chart?
- Adapt: the slices array: label, value and hue; title and unit; the ring thickness through the variable. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-chart-003-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the legend with numbers: a sector's angle never names its share; conic-gradient instead of SVG arc maths — less code and markup.
- Is Donut Chart free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/chart-003.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-chart-003-* variables. Server component: no hooks. The ring is built with a single conic-gradient: each sector's start is computed as the sum of the preceding values, so nothing is mutated during rendering. The hole is cut out with a radial-gradient mask, and the ring itself is marked aria-hidden — the meaning is carried by the legend with the percentages. Motion: sectors are SVG circles with a per-cent dash and gaps, sweeping in clockwise one after another; hovering a sector highlights its legend row and vice versa via :has(); reduced motion shows everything at once; animate=false turns it off.
