Chart

Axis Columns

Columns with a real value axis: the top of the scale rounds up to a round number, so the ticks read 0 / 300 / 600 rather than 0 / 217 / 434.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the columns array: a label and a value per column
  • title — the chart heading
  • unit — the unit named in the caption under the chart

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Axis Columns with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Axis Columns depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Axis Columns?
Adapt: the columns array: a label and a value per column; title — the chart heading; unit — the unit named in the caption under the chart. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-chart-010-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-card, --chart-1 and the like); the niceCeil rounding of the scale top: without it the ticks carry unreadable numbers like 217 and 434; the axis starting at zero — a truncated scale exaggerates the difference between columns.
Is Axis Columns free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/chart-010.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-chart-010-* variables. Server component: no hooks. The axis, the ticks and the columns sit in one 324×150 SVG, so the labels do not drift away from the columns at any width. The top of the scale is computed by niceCeil: the value is raised to 1 / 2 / 2.5 / 5 × 10ⁿ. The SVG itself is marked aria-hidden, and the data is mirrored in a visually hidden table. Motion: columns grow from the axis one after another, hover shows the value; reduced motion shows everything at once; animate=false turns it off.
