Gradient Area
An area with a vertical gradient and a dashed average: the fill fades towards the axis instead of fighting the line, and the average gives a reference point.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the points array: a label and a value per day

FAQ
- How do I add Gradient Area with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Gradient Area depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Gradient Area?
- Adapt: the points array: a label and a value per day; title — the chart heading; unit — the unit named in the caption under the chart. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-chart-012-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-card, --chart-1 and the like); the gradient fading towards the axis: a solid fill pulls attention from the line to the blob; the line above the area — an area with no outline reads as a smudge.
- Is Gradient Area free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-chart-012-* variables. Server component: no hooks. The fill is a linearGradient in defs, running from 42% accent opacity down to 2%, so the area reads as volume rather than as a patch of colour. The line is drawn over the same sequence of points, and the average is computed over the array and printed as a label beside the dashed rule. The data is mirrored in a visually hidden table. Motion: the gradient area reveals left to right, the average dash fades in; hover shows a crosshair and the value; reduced motion shows everything at once; animate=false turns it off.
