File Or Link
An attachment from two sources: a file from disk or a link. The panel switch runs on the :has selector, so there is no state and no client JS.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the title and the fileTab and linkTab captions
- the name prop: both source field names are built from it
- the accent through the accent prop — it colours the active tab and focus
A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ
- How do I add File Or Link with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does File Or Link depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in File Or Link?
- Adapt: the title and the fileTab and linkTab captions; the name prop: both source field names are built from it; the accent through the accent prop — it colours the active tab and focus. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-file-009-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-muted, border-input and the like); the radio inputs inside the labels: they give stateless switching and keep the choice in the form; the :has selector keyed on data-choice instead of ids in CSS — that is what keeps the styles independent of page markup.
- Is File Or Link free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/file-009.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-file-009-* variables. Server component: the tabs are built on two radio inputs inside labels, and which panel shows is decided by :has on the root through the data-choice attribute — there are no identifiers in the styles, so the component ports over without a single edit. The radio inputs are hidden visually but stay focusable, and the focus ring is drawn on the label through :has(input:focus-visible). The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the block has no surface by default, it sits directly on the page background and darkens with it, while the background prop turns on a surface of its own. The active tab and the address field are painted with a separate --vibeui-file-009-raise token, so a transparent surface does not swallow the raised tile.
