Specialized inputs

Suggested Tags

Tags from a fixed list: free input breeds "react", "React" and "reactjs" — three tags instead of one, and search stops working.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • label — the field caption
  • options — the list of allowed tags itself
  • defaultValue — the starting set

FAQ

How do I add Suggested Tags with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Suggested Tags depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Suggested Tags?
Adapt: label — the field caption; options — the list of allowed tags itself; defaultValue — the starting set. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-tags-002-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the transparent background by default — the component sits on the page background instead of laying a panel under itself; the closed value list: free input splits "react", "React" and "reactjs" into three different tags.
Is Suggested Tags free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/tags-002.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its palette in local variables --vibeui-tags-002-*. A client component: the picked list and the draft live in state. Suggestions are handed to the native datalist — it filters by what has been typed on its own, handles the keyboard and appears the system way on a phone, so there is no need to write a dropdown. The match is looked up case-insensitively, and the canonical value from options is what reaches the list. Next to it, the options not yet picked sit as buttons: until the first letter is typed a person does not know what can be chosen at all.
