FAQ

How do I add Spring Counter with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Spring Counter depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Spring Counter?
Adapt: label — the caption above the number; defaultValue — the starting value of the counter; step — how much one press changes the number by. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-number-009-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-primary, text-muted-foreground and the like); the spring linear(…) curve together with the cubic-bezier line before it: the first is there for older browsers, the second gives the overshoot; the restart through the digit's key — without it rapid presses smear the hop into a single motion.
Is Spring Counter free?
The preview is open to everyone; the source is available with a PRO subscription.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-number-009-* variables. A client component: useState keeps the value and a press counter. The hop is not a transition but a keyframe animation on a spring linear() curve; a press changes the digit's key, React mounts it anew and the animation starts from zero even in the middle of the previous one. The direction is carried by --vibeui-number-009-lift, so minus drops the digit and plus throws it up. The value lives in an <output> with aria-live, and the buttons switch off at the ends of the range.
