Repeat Rule
A recurrence rule that is immediately translated into a sentence and into a list of upcoming dates, with the assembled RRULE string shown underneath.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change

FAQ
- How do I add Repeat Rule with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Repeat Rule depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Repeat Rule?
- Adapt: label — the heading above the form; startDate — the date of the first event; repeats are counted from it; defaultFrequency — the recurrence unit at first render. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-calendar-026-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-accent, text-muted-foreground and the like); the trio “form — sentence — upcoming dates”: a recurrence rule can only be verified against dates, the form does not explain itself; the pure ruleOf function called from the handlers: assembling the string from state would make onChange report the previous value.
- Is Repeat Rule free?
- The preview is open to everyone; the source is available with a PRO subscription.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-calendar-026-*. Client-side: the frequency, the interval and the weekdays live in useState. The rule string is assembled by the pure function ruleOf, so onChange always receives the current value rather than the previous render's state. The upcoming dates are computed in a useMemo along three branches: for daily and monthly by shifting the date, for weekly by walking the days with a check of the week index from the start, so "every 2 weeks" really does skip a week. The worded phrase is built separately and declined through pluralize. The day names are taken from Intl.DateTimeFormat, and the day buttons are shown only for weekly. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the component has no surface of its own by default, it sits directly on the page background and darkens along with it, while the background prop brings the panel back. The field captions, the unit list items and the phrase templates arrive in props — the Russian values sit in the defaults, and {count}, {unit}, {head}, {days} and {day} are substituted when the phrase is assembled.
