Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, palette in the local --vibeui-date-013-* variables. Client component: both bounds, the edge being edited and the displayed month live in state. The two fields are the main part here — they are always visible, they show what is chosen and they mark which edge is being edited; the grid is attached to them and opens from whichever field was pressed. A click before the check-in is not an error: it moves the start instead of complaining. The grid cells carry no gap, otherwise the span would read as a dotted line of separate tiles. Dates are compared as YYYY-MM-DD strings — with an identical format that is correct and needs no parsing. The values reach the form through the hidden name-from and name-to fields.
