FAQ

How do I add Password Rules with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Password Rules depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Password Rules?
Adapt: the label copy and the set of rules; the minLength threshold; the verdict wording and the tone colours. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-input-011-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; deriving the score from the number of satisfied rules: otherwise meter and list start contradicting each other; the rules list beside the meter — an unlabelled bar never says what to fix.
Is Password Rules free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-input-011-*. A client component: "use client". The score is computed from the number of satisfied rules, so the meter and the list never disagree. There are exactly as many segments as there are rules. The tone (weak/fair/good) is set on the root by a data attribute, and the segments, the verdict and the satisfied rows of the list are all coloured from it.
