FAQ
- How do I add Required Badge with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Required Badge depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Required Badge?
- Adapt: the field name through label, the badge text through badge and the explanation through hint; the placeholder text through placeholder; the focus and accent color through accent. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-label-009-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the badge inside <label> rather than next to it: otherwise it falls out of the screen reader's reading of the field name; the aria-describedby link between the hint and the field: otherwise the text is visible but never spoken.
- Is Required Badge free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, a palette in local variables --vibeui-label-009-*. It is a server component: useId is the only hook, there is no state. Instead of an asterisk with an expansion for a screen reader, there is a readable "Required" badge nested directly inside the <label> — it is spoken together with the field name without a separate skip text and aria-hidden. The explanation stands under the field and is tied to it through aria-describedby. The field gets the native required, so browser validation stays working. The palette is built on light-dark(): the block follows the surrounding color-scheme, there is no surface by default, and it appears only through the background prop.
