No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Handle Check?
Adapt: the label, placeholder and defaultValue copy; the takenHandles list, or swapping the simulation for a real request; the simulated checkDelay duration. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-inputgroup-035-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the collapsed borders: neighbours carry a negative margin so the parts share one line instead of two; locking the field only while the check itself runs, never after a result.
Is Handle Check free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-inputgroup-035-* variables. Client-side: "use client" for the sake of the value, the status and the check timer state. The check is simulated by a timer (cleared on unmount and on a re-run), the field is locked only while the check itself runs and stays editable after any result — unlike the promo-code group, here it can be re-checked any number of times. Any edit to the value resets the status to idle at once: the old result belongs to a different string.
