FAQ

How do I add Quarter Hour Time with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Quarter Hour Time depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Quarter Hour Time?
Adapt: the label copy and the starting defaultValue; the quick array — your own common time values; the accent through the accent prop. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-input-026-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the snap() rounding on every onChange — the native input's step attribute only affects the browser's arrows, not manual keyboard entry; the midnight wraparound in snap() (modulo 1440 minutes) — otherwise rounding times near 00:00 yields a negative value.
Is Quarter Hour Time free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-input-026-*. A client component: "use client". The native <input type="time"> gets step={900} (15 minutes in seconds) for the browser's arrows, but manual keyboard entry does not honour that attribute — which is why on onChange the value is always brought to the nearest 15 minutes by the snap() function through integer division, wrapping around midnight. The chips under the field are the same common values in one click, and aria-pressed marks the one matching value.
