No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.

Adapt: the label copy and accept for allowed formats; the placeholder text "No file chosen"; the button icon for your scenario. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-inputgroup-017-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the visually-hidden (clipped, not display:none) input inside the label — tab order and keyboard opening still work; the read-only-like filename field: it never participates in form submission, the value lives only in input[type=file].
Is File Trigger free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-inputgroup-017-* variables. Client-side: "use client" for the sake of the chosen file state. A real <input type="file"> is hidden visually (clipped, not display:none) inside its own <label>, so it stays in the tab order and opens from the keyboard. The neighbouring field only displays the file name and size and takes no part in form submission.
