FAQ

How do I add Editor Toolbar with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Editor Toolbar depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Editor Toolbar?
Adapt: the set of instruments through tools; the accessible toolbar name through label; visible text captions through showLabels. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-buttongroup-004-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the roving tabindex: without it a six-icon bar steals six Tab presses from the page; role="toolbar" together with aria-orientation — they are the promise of arrow keys to a screen reader.
Is Editor Toolbar free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/buttongroup-004.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the --vibeui-buttongroup-004-* variables. It is a client component: useState holds the index of the active button, useRef holds the panel, and the onKeyDown handler parses ArrowLeft/ArrowRight with wrap-around and Home/End. The active button gets tabIndex=0 and the rest -1 — that is the roving tabindex from the WAI-ARIA toolbar pattern. onFocus syncs the index when focus arrived by mouse. The icons are inline SVGs with stroke="currentColor", and the separator between the third and the fourth button is drawn by a node of its own. The captions are turned on by the showLabels prop: aria-label is then removed so that the name is not doubled.
