FAQ

How do I add Choice Chips with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Choice Chips depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Choice Chips?
Adapt: the group name through label — it is also the visible caption above the chips; the chip captions through optionText; defaultValue — the chip selected from the start; the rest are switched on by clicking. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-togglegroup-018-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the real checkboxes inside the labels: they hold the state, reach the form and answer the keyboard, none of which a div with onClick does; the selected look through :has(input:checked) rather than a class: a class drifts away from the field's state silently.
Is Choice Chips free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/togglegroup-018.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

One file, zero dependencies, the --vibeui-togglegroup-018-* palette. A server component: plain checkboxes inside the labels hold the state, so the chips work in a form and without any scripting. The group is a fieldset with a legend, and every chip is a label carrying an invisible input type="checkbox", a checkmark and the text. The selected look is assembled by :has(input:checked) selectors: the accent fill, dark text and transform:scale(1.06) on the linear(…) spring curve. The checkmark grows from zero width, so the chip widens along with it. The focus ring comes from :has(input:focus-visible). The theme comes from color-scheme through light-dark(), while the .dark class and data-theme="dark" declare color-scheme:dark.
