Button group

Chart Step Links

Chart granularity built on links rather than buttons: middle click, "open in a new tab" and the back button all work, and the choice survives a reload.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the steps, their hrefs and captions through steps
  • the active step through current
  • the accessible navigation name through label

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Chart Step Links with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Chart Step Links depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Chart Step Links?
Adapt: the steps, their hrefs and captions through steps; the active step through current; the accessible navigation name through label. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-buttongroup-030-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; links instead of buttons: middle click, a new tab and "back" would otherwise not work; aria-current="page" as the source of both state and style — they then cannot drift apart.
Is Chart Step Links free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/buttongroup-030.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the --vibeui-buttongroup-030-* variables. It is a server component: the state lives in the page address rather than in React. The group is assembled from li elements with links inside a nav with an aria-label; the current step is marked aria-current="page", and the style is picked by the same attribute, so the highlight cannot drift from the declared state. The current link stays a link instead of turning into a span: otherwise focus on it is lost when coming back from history. There is a single border, on the list, the separators are drawn by li + li {border-inline-start}, and the corners are clipped by overflow:hidden. Under the step name stands the number of points, set in tabular figures.
