Status Dots Filter

A status filter whose marker carries two signals at once — colour and shape: a dot, a ring and a square stay distinct even in black and white.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the statuses, their colours and shapes through statuses

FAQ

How do I add Status Dots Filter with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Status Dots Filter depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Status Dots Filter?
Adapt: the statuses, their colours and shapes through statuses; the initially enabled statuses through defaultValue; the accessible group name through label. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-buttongroup-031-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the different marker shapes: colour alone separates nothing for colour-blind users or in print; checkboxes instead of radios — statuses are filtered together, not one at a time.
Is Status Dots Filter free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the --vibeui-buttongroup-031-* variables. It is a server component: the choice is multiple and there are checkboxes inside — the statuses add up rather than replace one another. The marker shape is set by the data-shape attribute: dot is a filled circle, ring is a circle on an inset box-shadow, square is a rounded square. The colour arrives in the data and is passed in through the inline --vibeui-buttongroup-031-mark variable: this is the case where a value cannot be expressed by a class. The cluster borders are collapsed through margin-inline-start:-1px, the rounded corners go to the edge ones only, the selected segment is raised to z-index:1 and the focused one to z-index:2.
