Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the --vibeui-buttongroup-014-* variables. It is a server component: there are no hooks, and the choice is held by radios in a fieldset. A segment name is real text under clip-path:inset(50%): a screen reader reads it and find-in-page reaches it, unlike aria-label. The visible tooltip is a separate aria-hidden node, shown both on :hover and on :focus-visible, and it drops downwards (top:calc(100% + 0.5rem)) because the group usually stands in a header where there is no room above. The track is a flex with inner padding and a shared border, and the segments are not chained by borders but separated by gap:0.1875rem. The selected segment is filled with the accent, and the focused one is raised to z-index:2.
