Emoji Reactions

Reactions with counters as a set of independent toggles: the emoji is aria-hidden while the reaction's name sits as text for screen readers.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the reactions and their base counts through reactions
  • the user's own reactions through mine
  • the accessible group name through label

FAQ

How do I add Emoji Reactions with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Emoji Reactions depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Emoji Reactions?
Adapt: the reactions and their base counts through reactions; the user's own reactions through mine; the accessible group name through label. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-buttongroup-041-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; aria-pressed on every pill: reactions do not exclude each other, and a radio here would be a lie; aria-hidden on the emoji together with the name under clip-path — otherwise the symbol's description is read aloud.
Is Emoji Reactions free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/buttongroup-041.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the --vibeui-buttongroup-041-* variables. It is a client component: useState holds the list of your own reactions, and the counter shows the base number plus one when a reaction has been given. Every pill is a separate toggle with aria-pressed, because reactions do not exclude each other. The emoji is marked aria-hidden and the reaction name lies next to it under clip-path: a screen reader has to say "like, 12, pressed" rather than read out the description of the symbol. The counter is set in tabular figures and has a minimum width, otherwise the row twitches on every press. The pills wrap: over time there are more reactions.
