Counter Badges
A filter that answers "how many are there" straight away: the counter lives inside the segment as a pill with tabular figures and never nudges its neighbours.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the segments and their numbers through options
- the initially selected segment through defaultValue
- the counter's unit word through unit

FAQ
- How do I add Counter Badges with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Counter Badges depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Counter Badges?
- Adapt: the segments and their numbers through options; the initially selected segment through defaultValue; the counter's unit word through unit. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-buttongroup-015-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the tabular figures and the counter's minimum width: otherwise the group twitches on every data refresh; the hidden unit word next to the number — "New 12" read aloud never explains what the 12 is.
- Is Counter Badges free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the --vibeui-buttongroup-015-* variables. It is a server component: there are no hooks, and the choice is held by radios inside a fieldset. The counter is a separate [data-part="count"] node with min-width:1.5rem and font-variant-numeric:tabular-nums, so an update from 9 to 128 does not shift the layout. Next to the number lies a unit word hidden with clip-path, otherwise the segment sounds like "New 12" with nothing to explain it. The borders are collapsed through margin-inline-start:-1px, the rounded corners go to the edge ones only, the selected segment is raised to z-index:1 and the focused one to z-index:2. On the selected segment the counter pill is inverted: an accent fill and light text.
