Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the --vibeui-buttongroup-008-* variables. It is a server component: there are no hooks, and the page number arrives as a prop and is clamped to the range 1..total. The root is a nav with an aria-label, and inside it there are two buttons and a non-interactive counter cell within the same border. The borders are collapsed through margin-inline-start:-1px, the rounded corners go through logical properties to the first and last cell, and on focus a button is raised to z-index:2. The counter width is pinned by min-width and font-variant-numeric:tabular-nums, so "9 / 12" and "10 / 12" take the same space. The fraction is marked aria-hidden, and next to it lies the text "Page 3 of 12" under clip-path.
