Priority Levels

Priority as a ladder of bars: the ordinal value is carried by height, not by hue — red and yellow never say which one is higher.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the levels, bar counts and hues through levels
  • the initial level through defaultValue
  • the accessible group name through label

FAQ

How do I add Priority Levels with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Priority Levels depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Priority Levels?
Adapt: the levels, bar counts and hues through levels; the initial level through defaultValue; the accessible group name through label. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-buttongroup-051-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the ladder of bars: an ordinal value cannot be carried by colour, red is not "higher" than yellow; the hue as a number inside oklch formulas — fill, border and text then agree at any colour.
Is Priority Levels free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the --vibeui-buttongroup-051-* variables. It is a server component: the choice is held by radios inside a fieldset. The glyph is four bars of rising height with the first N filled in: an ordinal value calls for an ordinal cue, and colour stays the second channel. The hue arrives as a number and is passed in through the inline --vibeui-buttongroup-051-hue variable, and all the segment colours are assembled from it by oklch formulas — the fill, the border and the text of the selected level stay in agreement at any hue. The borders are collapsed through margin-inline-start:-1px, the segments are of equal width (flex:1 1 0), and focus raises z-index:2.
